Chunghwa Telecom announced that the company plans to invest NT$200 billion (US$6.9 billion; US$1=NT$28.8) over the next 10 years in broadband infrastructure construction, according to a July 7, 2011 report by the China Times of Taiwan. Chunghwa Telecom aims to provide Internet download speeds of 100Mbps to 1Gbps for home users and 1Gbps to 10Gpbs for enterprise users in 2015.
